1️⃣ 📍 Check in at the WOW Surf School setup on the beach in front of the Ritz-Carlton — arrive 30 minutes early 2️⃣ 🏄 Get matched to a board sized for your height, weight, and skill level 3️⃣ 🏖️ Beach briefing: stretching, paddling, stance, the pop-up, and beach etiquette 4️⃣ 🌊 Into the water one-on-one, with your coach right beside you 5️⃣ 🎯 Live corrections on timing, balance, and stance so every wave is better than the last 6️⃣ 🎁 30 minutes of board time on your own to lock in what you just learned

Can a total beginner learn to surf in one hour? Yes — most first-timers ride a wave in their very first lesson. With one instructor to one student, you get lined up, pushed into the wave, and coached through the pop-up in real time. Why book a private surf lesson instead of a group lesson? A private lesson is one instructor to one student, so nobody waits their turn. You get more waves, more corrections, and a pace built entirely around you — the fastest way to progress. What ages can take surf lessons with WOW Surfing? All ages. We adapt the board, the water depth, and the pace to the student, so kids and adults both do well. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to sign the waiver. Do I need to bring my own surfboard? No. A soft-top board and leash are included, and you keep a board for 30 minutes after the lesson. Bring a bathing suit, a towel, and reef-safe sunscreen. What happens if the surf is too rough on the day of my lesson? If conditions are unsafe we will reschedule your lesson or refund it. Safety calls are made by our instructors on the day, based on what the ocean is actually doing.

Cancellations

Full refund may be issued for cancellations with 72 hours or more notice prior to tour start time. No refund issued for cancellation if less than 48 hours notice prior to tour start time.. No refund issued on same day cancellations. If you arrive late, you will be marked as a no‑show. All participants must arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled time slot. No exceptions.
