About this experience

Learn the skills to hunt the open ocean. Duration 5 Hours Morning departure About Our Intro to Bluewater Spearfishing course is designed for beginners who are ready to experience open-water hunting with a strong focus on instruction, awareness, and technique. We’ll cover bluewater safety, buddy positioning, breath-hold technique, fish approach, shot placement, gear setup, and how to stay calm and controlled in deeper open water. You’ll work closely with one of our experienced guides while learning how bluewater hunting differs from reef diving, how to read the water, and how to build the confidence and skills needed to continue progressing as a spearfisher. All beginner equipment is included Speargun, fins, mask, snorkel, weight belt, and other required gear are provided. Personal gear is always welcome. Photos and videos of your trip, snacks, water, and soft drinks are also included. Beginner courses are limited to a maximum of four divers to allow for more individual instruction and attention. Cancellations

A non-refundable 25% deposit is due at booking. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the trip will be charged 100% of the total trip cost No-shows and same-day cancellations are non-refundable Trip Protection Coverage (Optional Add-On) Add Trip Protection for maximum flexibility and peace of mind. With Trip Protection, you may cancel your trip up to 24 hours prior to departure and receive a full refund of the trip cost, excluding the non-refundable Trip Protection fee and any applicable booking or processing fees. No questions asked You may also reschedule your trip up to 24 hours prior to departure without penalty, subject to availability. Trip Protection must be purchased at the time of booking and is non-refundable. Without Trip Protection, our standard cancellation policy applies. Weather Policy If we cancel your trip due to weather or unsafe conditions, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule If the trip is able to run, the standard cancellation policy applies Additional Notes We operate in dynamic ocean conditions and locations may occasionally change. Final trip details, including departure location, will be confirmed prior to your trip. Gear Responsibility & Replacement Policy – Bluewater Spearfishing All spearfishing equipment provided by Life Below the Surface is high-performance, professional-grade gear and must be handled with care. Participants are financially responsible for any lost, damaged, or unrecoverable equipment during their charter. Replacement charges are as follows: • Speargun shaft: $75 • Slip tip: $125 • Ulusub 155 speargun (full replacement if lost or unrecoverable): $1,300 These charges reflect replacement cost and will be charged to the card on file in the event gear is lost or cannot be retrieved.
