Check-in details Please arrive at the rental location at your scheduled pickup time for check-in, equipment fitting, and a brief overview of proper gear use. The rental is located at Cabezas de San Juan – Ensenada Yegua in Fajardo. Please allow enough time to park and walk to the pickup location. All rental equipment must be returned by 4:30 PM. Late pickup does not extend the equipment return time. If you need assistance finding the rental location, call 787-556-0104. What to bring Swimsuit or quick-dry clothing Towel, change of clothes & Sunscreen (reef-safe recommended) Water bottle to stay hydrated Personal medications if needed Valid photo ID Special requirements Children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times. All rental equipment must be returned by 4:30 PM on the rental date. Guests are responsible for using the equipment properly and following all safety instructions provided at pickup. Please notify us if you need assistance with equipment fitting or flotation support. A valid photo ID is required at pickup. Rental equipment must remain in the renter’s care and may not be transferred to another person without approval. Restrictions This self-guided rental may not be suitable for guests who are not comfortable entering the water independently or who require continuous in-water assistance. Guests with significant mobility limitations, severe balance issues, recent surgery, serious back or neck conditions, or medical concerns that may be aggravated by snorkeling should contact us before renting. Pregnant guests should consult their healthcare provider if they have concerns about entering the water or moving on wet, sandy, rocky, or uneven surfaces. There is no specific height restriction, but equipment fit is subject to available sizes. Children must remain under direct adult supervision at all times. Pirate Snorkeling Shack staff may refuse or limit equipment use if they believe participation would be unsafe. A GoPro action camera rental is available as an optional add-on for $40, subject to availability. Can I buy a new snorkel to keep? Yes. You can add a brand-new snorkel for $10 and take it home after your rental.
Cancellations
Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before your scheduled rental for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled pickup time, as well as late arrivals and no-shows, are non-refundable. Requests to reschedule must be made at least 48 hours in advance and are subject to availability and any applicable change fees. Snorkeling gear rentals are subject to safe weather and marine conditions. If Pirate Snorkeling Shack determines that conditions are unsafe for rental activity, you will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a refund in accordance with our weather policy. Changes in water clarity, visibility, currents, marine-life activity, or snorkeling conditions are not considered operator cancellations and do not qualify for a refund. Late pickup does not extend the rental period. All rental equipment must be returned by 4:30 PM on the same day. Please do not assume your rental is canceled based on rain, clouds, wind, or a weather forecast unless Pirate Snorkeling Shack contacts you directly.
