Check-In & Board Setup Meet our team at the rental location, check in, get fitted with your personal flotation device, and receive your paddleboard and paddle. Safety & Paddleboard Overview Review basic balance, paddling, steering, launch procedures, and important safety information before heading out. Paddle at Your Own Pace Enjoy a self-guided paddle along the Fajardo coastline during your selected rental period. Take your time, enjoy the scenery, and explore within your comfort level. Return Your Equipment Return to the rental area before your selected rental time ends and check in your paddleboard, paddle, PFD, and any additional rental equipment. Note: This is a self-guided rental. Water access and paddling areas may vary based on weather, sea conditions, currents, and safety.

Check-in details Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled rental time at Cabezas de San Juan – Ensenada Yegua in Fajardo for check-in, board setup, PFD fitting, and a brief safety orientation. Please allow enough time to park and walk to the rental location before your scheduled start time. Your rental time begins at the time shown on your reservation. Late arrival does not extend the rental period. Full-day rentals and all equipment must be returned by 4:30 PM. If you need assistance finding the rental location, call 787-556-0104. All participants must complete the required waiver before receiving rental equipment. Participants must be able to follow basic paddling and safety instructions. Guests should be able to stand, kneel, or sit on the paddleboard and enter and exit the water with reasonable assistance. A valid photo ID is required at check-in. Please notify us in advance of any mobility limitations, medical concerns, injuries, or other circumstances that may affect safe participation. Personal flotation devices must be worn as instructed by Pirate Snorkeling Shack staff. Restrictions This self-guided rental may not be suitable for guests with serious back or neck conditions, recent surgery, severe balance issues, significant mobility limitations, or medical conditions that may be aggravated by paddling or water activity. Pregnant guests should consult their healthcare provider before participating if they have concerns about balance, physical activity, or changing water conditions. Participants should be able to sit, kneel, or stand on the paddleboard and enter and exit the water with reasonable assistance. Guests with limited mobility should contact us before booking so we can determine whether the rental is appropriate. There is no specific height restriction, but safe participation depends on equipment fit, balance, weather, and water conditions. Pirate Snorkeling Shack may restrict or refuse participation when weather, sea conditions, equipment fit, or a guest’s ability make the activity unsafe. Health & Safety A brief safety and paddling orientation is provided before launch, and a personal flotation device is included. Guests must follow all staff instructions, paddle within their ability and comfort level, and use caution when launching, landing, or moving on wet and uneven surfaces. Please notify us before your rental of any medical condition, injury, mobility limitation, or other concern that may affect safe participation. Weather, wind, currents, and sea conditions are continuously evaluated, and Pirate Snorkeling Shack may delay, restrict, or suspend rentals when conditions are considered unsafe. Pirate Snorkeling Shack may delay, limit, or suspend paddleboard rentals when conditions are considered unsafe. If your rental is affected, we will contact you with the available options under our weather policy. What should I bring? Bring a swimsuit or quick-dry clothing, towel, water shoes or secure sandals, reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, reusable water bottle, personal medications, and a small waterproof pouch or dry bag.

Cancellations

Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before your scheduled rental for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled rental time, as well as late arrivals and no-shows, are non-refundable. Requests to reschedule must be made at least 48 hours in advance and are subject to availability and any applicable change fees. Paddleboard rentals are subject to safe weather, wind, currents, sea conditions, and operational conditions. If Pirate Snorkeling Shack determines that conditions are unsafe to operate, you will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a refund in accordance with our weather policy. Changes to water access, paddling areas, routes, or rental activity due to weather, wind, currents, sea conditions, or safety are not considered operator cancellations and do not qualify for a refund. Late arrival does not extend the rental period. • 1-hour rentals must be returned within 1 hour of the scheduled start time. • 2-hour rentals must be returned within 2 hours of the scheduled start time. • Full-day rentals and all equipment must be returned by 4:30 PM. Please do not assume your rental is canceled based on rain, wind, clouds, or a weather forecast unless Pirate Snorkeling Shack contacts you directly.
