FAQs

How do I know if I'm ready to be a Divemaster? Self-assess: Are your skills developed to the point where you are no longer a liability in the water towards your dive group? Can you confidently plan dives based on NDLs, gas consumption and make on-the-fly adjustments without putting yourself or others at risk? Are you physically fit to help others when they cannot help themselves? The answer to these questions can help tell you if you are ready! PADI requires 60 logged dives to get certified, why do you require 100? We firmly believe that the responsibility and expectations put upon a Divemaster require candidates to be not only competent divers, but to be divers to whom diving is just second nature. This means, that when things go wrong they can employ their training without a moment's thought. Although a full logbook doesn't denote skill, asking candidates to have 100 or more dives, helps us drive home the importance of experience and exposure.
