Begin your adventure at Hacienda La Tradición with a fresh cup of farm-grown coffee before choosing one of three scenic hikes through our private coffee farm. Guests receive a backpack with a thermos of freshly brewed farm coffee, a seasonal snack or fruit to enjoy during the trek. Explore hidden waterfalls, crystal-clear rivers, bamboo trails, and lush tropical forests while enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature. Swim, relax, or challenge yourself on our more demanding trek. Secure parking, lockers, restrooms, and showers are available. A signed liability waiver is required, and sturdy hiking shoes plus a change of clothes are highly recommended. This hike is physically demanding and not recommended for beginners.

Itinerary
CRAFT Adventure Itinerary 1. Arrival & Check-In (9:00 AM – 10:00 AM) Check in at the Hacienda La Tradición Coffee Shop. Sign the required liability waiver. Store personal belongings in available lockers (optional). Enjoy a complimentary cup of freshly brewed farm-grown coffee while meeting your host. 2. Gear Distribution & Safety Briefing Receive your hiking backpack. Backpack includes a thermos of Farm Blend coffee, seasonal fruit or light snack. Review trail guidelines, safety procedures, and Leave No Trace principles. Choose Your Adventure Select one of three hiking experiences: Option 1 – Río & Waterfalls Hike Hike to the secluded Río Limón. Swim beneath waterfalls or relax along the river. Enjoy your coffee and snack while surrounded by nature. Option 2 – Creek & Waterfalls Trek Descend through bamboo trails into the lower coffee farm. Trek upstream through cool mountain creeks. Explore lush tropical vegetation and multiple waterfalls. Pause to enjoy coffee in a peaceful rainforest setting. Option 3 – Río & Creek Marathon Experience both routes in one challenging adventure. Approximately 4 hours of hiking through rivers, creeks, waterfalls, bamboo forests, and mountain trails. Includes breaks for coffee and snacks. Recommended for experienced hikers only. 4. Return to Hacienda La Tradición Return to the coffee shop. Retrieve personal belongings from your locker. Use the restrooms, changing rooms, and showers if desired.

Check-in details Check-in Time: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure. Check in at the Hacienda La Tradición Coffee Shop. ** A signed Liability Waiver is required for every participant before the hike begins.** Free on-site parking is available. Tours depart promptly. Late arrivals may not be accommodated and may forfeit their reservation. Tours may be delayed, modified, or canceled due to severe weather or unsafe trail conditions for the safety of all guests. What to bring We conduct tours rain or shine, we suggest you prepare for both. • Comfortable hiking shoes with good grip • Lightweight clothing suitable for outdoor activity • Towel and change of clothes (optional for relaxing by the river) • Refillable water bottle to stay hydrated • Sunscreen and insect repellent • Hat or cap for sun protection • Waterproof bag or pouch for phone and valuables • Personal medications or first aid items if needed • A sense of adventure and appreciation for nature Special requirements • 👶 Not available for Children under 14 years of age. • Youth ages 14-17 years of age must be accompanied by a guardian/parent Restrictions For the safety of all participants, the following restrictions apply: Minimum age: 12 years old Participants must be in good physical condition. Not suitable for pregnant individuals. Not recommended for guests with heart, respiratory, or other serious medical conditions. Not suitable for guests with back, knee, ankle, hip, or mobility issues. Participants must be able to hike on steep, uneven, muddy, and slippery terrain. Guests must be comfortable crossing creeks, walking on rocks, and navigating natural obstacles. Closed-toe hiking shoes or hiking boots are required. Alcohol or drug impairment is strictly prohibited. A signed Liability Waiver is required before participation. Host reserve the right to deny or end participation if a guest's condition, equipment, or behavior poses a safety risk. Participation is at your own risk. All participants are required to sign a Liability Waiver prior to the start of the tour. Failure to sign the waiver will result in denial of participation without refund. Guests are responsible for wearing appropriate footwear and clothing and bringing any recommended personal items. Hacienda La Tradición is not responsible for injuries, accidents, loss, or damage to personal belongings resulting from participation in this activity. Guides reserve the right to refuse or end participation for any guest whose physical condition, behavior, or preparedness may create a safety risk to themselves or others. Tours may be modified, delayed, or canceled due to severe weather or unsafe trail conditions. By participating, you confirm that you are in good physical health and capable of completing the hike safely.

⏰ When should I arrive for my tour? Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early to avoid delays or potential rescheduling. Tours begin promptly and we want to ensure you have the full experience. 🚗 Where do I park? Parking is located on the left side of the road in the grassy area just before the wooden structure at the farm entrance. Your guide will greet you there. ⏳ What happens if I’m late? If you arrive late and there are other guests scheduled, we may not be able to wait. You might need to wait for the next available tour if one is scheduled, or reschedule if others cannot stay. 👟 What should I wear or bring? We recommend: • Comfortable closed-toe shoes (it can be muddy or dusty) • Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen) • Rain gear (umbrella, poncho, jacket) • Insect repellent or long sleeves/pants • Drinking water • Allergy medication if needed 👨👩👧 Are there age or pet restrictions? • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult • Dogs are welcome if they are leashed and well-behaved • No other pets allowed • Service animals are always welcome ⚠️ Are there any physical restrictions? This is a physically demanding outdoor activity that includes steep terrain, uneven trails, creek crossings, slippery rocks, and elevation changes. Participants should be in good physical condition and comfortable hiking for extended periods. This tour is not recommended for: Children under 12 years old Pregnant individuals Anyone with heart, respiratory, or serious medical conditions Guests with back, knee, ankle, or other mobility issues Anyone who has difficulty walking on uneven or slippery terrain Individuals with a fear of heights or unstable footing For your safety, guides may refuse participation if they believe a guest cannot safely complete the hike.
Cancellations
**Cancellation & Weather Policy – Hacienda La Tradición ** Seasonal Tours & Experiences You may cancel up to 24 hours in advance of your scheduled tour/experience for a full refund minus processing fees. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour/experience start time are non-refundable. Changes or rescheduling requested less than 24 hours before the tour/experience start time will not be accepted. If you purchased Trip Protection, you may cancel or reschedule your tour for any reason up to one (1) hour prior to your scheduled start time. You will receive a full refund (minus the cost of trip protection and processing fees). Please call us directly for all cancellations or rescheduling requests. (+1-939-787-0015) Rescheduling is subject to availability. Cut-off times are based on the tour’s/experience’s local time in Utuado, Puerto Rico. Late Arrivals We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early to allow time for check-in and parking. If you arrive 15 minutes or more past your scheduled start time and other guests are participating, the tour will begin without you. In these cases, refunds or rescheduling will not be offered. If your tour is private and only for your group, we will do our best to accommodate minor delays; however, the tour may be shortened to stay on schedule. Private Event and Group Bookings For private events and group bookings, cancellations made up to 24 hours in advance will be refunded the payment amount minus the deposit and processing fees. The deposit amount is based on the total number of participants and is determined prior to booking. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time are non-refundable. Weather Policy This experience is offered rain or shine. We recommend preparing for both sun and light rain, as quick mountain showers are common in Utuado. In the event of severe weather (such as a hurricane or tropical storm), the experience will be canceled with a full refund.
