About this experience
This gentle, guided ride is ideal for first-time and inexperienced riders who want a relaxed introduction to horseback riding. Each experience begins with an on-the-ground lesson so you learn basics and feel confident before mounting. Guides match horses to riders and stay with you on shaded trails and open pasture, providing bilingual instruction and assistance. The small-group setting and calm horses create a reassuring atmosphere, and guides take complimentary photos during the ride.
Itinerary
Your ride, step by step Total time at the ranch: about 1 hour 30 minutes Arrive (20 minutes before your ride time) — Park free on site, check in, and sign your waiver. Restrooms are here, so use them now. Meet your guide — A short lesson on the ground: how to sit, how to hold the reins, how to stop and turn. Ask every question you have. Nobody gets on a horse until they know what to do. Meet your horse — We match each rider to a horse by size and experience, and introduce you by name. Helmets on, and we help every rider mount. The ride begins — We set out at a walk through [OPENING STRETCH — the pasture, the tree line, the farm road] so everyone settles in. First-time riders relax here, and so do the parents. Into the trail — Shaded riding through [MAIN TRAIL — describe the real terrain] with your guide walking alongside the younger riders the whole way. Photo stop — We pause at [BEST VIEW ON THE PROPERTY] so you can look around, catch your breath, and get the photo. Your guide takes them for you — both of your hands are busy. The way back — A different route home through [RETURN LEG], usually the part where the nervous rider realizes they're actually enjoying this. Dismount and feed your horse — Back at the ranch, we help everyone down. Then you feed your horse a carrot and say thank you. This is every kid's favorite part of the day. Head out — Photos sent to you, and directions to the nearest beach or lunch spot if you want them.
